Sawtalo Sar 0.1.2

About This File

Afghanistan rocky mountain forest with cliffs. Foliage will be more dense whenever the AI bots get the ability to not see through foliage, or else it won't be fun for people playing on the single player demo.

Very loosely based on the real Sawtalo Sar Mountain in Korengal Valley, where Operation Red Wings took place in 2005 (Depicted in Lone Survivor).

PMCs vs Insurgents are the default factions. PMCs are defending and the Insurgents are pushing them down the mountain and off the cliffs. More routes will come later.

Drag zip file in the Mods folder you create in your HarshDoorstop folder. Unzip it into its own Sawtalo folder.

The map is pretty awesome. It just needs a lighting pass and some post processing.

Looks great in single player! thanks.

I do have a problem hosting this on a linux O:HD server.
When trying to spawn all screen is black. I tried different factions, same result.

The first version of the map was immersive, pretty, and played super well, but the new version has way too many invisible walls that make both teams stuck on certain objectives and it makes the new version almost unplayable. The light levels for the new version are a definite improvement though.

Example of one of the walls:

Response from the author:

Did you try it with different amounts of bots? The outdated AI of the Multiplayer Playtest version of OHD currently likes to get stuck in groups. This will be fixed in coming updates, thanks for the report!

Why are advertisements on this website if Operation: Harsh Doorstop is a free game?

Unfortunately hosting a website that allows users to upload their own files is expensive. This can cost us hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars depending on how many people are visiting the site, uploading files, and downloading files. In order to make sure this website is never pulling funds away from the development of Operation: Harsh Doorstop, we wanted to ensure that it would always be financially self sufficient. Hence why advertisements are placed here. This way no matter how many people visit our website, it will always pay for itself. Thanks so much for supporting Operation: Harsh doorstop, and thank you for enabling advertisements on this website!
